Are we Vikings fans in the making??!!

Absolutely NOT! As some of you may or may not know, we are moving to Minnesota. Yes, this is a recent, sudden announcement. We told our families last week that Tyler received a promotional position at McNeilus in the Rochester area. Currently, Tyler works in Defense for Oshkosh Truck. This next position remains in the Oshkosh Truck Corporation, but in the commercial end of things. We are excited, overwhelmed, and nervous.

Tyler doesn't know exactly when he will start his new job. He is thinking about 3 weeks. They will put him up in executive housing until we find a home in Rochester. (Hmm...I wonder if House Hunters on HGTV is looking for people to be on their show? Just ask Tyler... I am addicted to that show!)

In the mean time, we are very busy getting our house ready for the assessors. We will receive two separate assessments as to the value of our home. Based on that, Oshkosh Truck will then offer to purchase our house. Of course we have the option of selling the house ourselves, but with this housing market one is never too sure!

We will do our best to keep you updated. I will try to post some pictures in the next couple of days!

Leg Update

After visiting the orthopedic, Olivia is officially casted for four weeks. She is getting along fairly well on the crutches. However, we did rent a wheelchair to help her get around at school.

The neighbor kids watching Olivia move down the driveway. Yes, we are all praying that she doesn't fall!

The neighbor girls with Olivia. (Look at Luke's face in the background. He is having a hard time with Olivia getting all of the attention.)

Poor Olivia!!! Today at recess she got her first bee sting. Since she was in a wheelchair at the time she couldn't run away! Of course she was sobbing when this happened. Thank goodness mom teaches at the same school. (***I never knew seasoning salt took away the pain from bee stings! I need to stock that in my purse!)

Here Luke is getting a extra squeeze and hug from Dad. It is tough being the middle guy sometimes!

Ironically, Brady is getting closer and closer to walking. Maybe Brady and Olivia will take their "first" steps around the same time!

Guess which child broke their leg?????

It's Olivia! We were at her Great Grandma Sippel's house and she fell off of a bar stool. In her words, her leg got tangled up when she fell off the stool and she heard a loud "pop" sound. Olivia is happy here, but a few hours before this, her crying could be heard clearly from Mount Calvary to Fond du Lac. Her timing was also perfect. She broke her leg in the fourth quarter of the Packer game. Tyler didn't even know how the Packers scored 48 points. Thank god for game highlights.

She thinks it is pretty cool to have crutches now. That will surely change!

Tomorrow we have to go see an orthopedic. We will see if he agrees with the first doctor's diagnosis.

The x-ray showed a small break in the tibia.

Luke also had a special weekend. He was invited to his birthday party. He was extremely excited to go to the Spiderman birthday party. Here he is with the gift bag. I asked Luke if he wanted me to stay with him at the party and he said, "No just drop me off. But Mom, remember to come pick me up when the party is done."

Luke also told Olivia that she couldn't come to the party. She had to stay home and not play with any friends. (If you haven't guessed, he has had to stay home when Olivia goes to her birthday parties!)

A quick pic of Brady. He is learning how to drink from a sippy cup.

Day Out With Thomas

Right after school was out in June, we took Luke and Olivia to see Thomas the Tank Engine. We were really impressed on how much there was to do. The event was at the National Railroad Museum.

Thomas made out of Legos.

Luke loved this whole Thomas exhibit made out of Legos. He really wants Santa to bring him Thomas Legos. How many months until Christmas?

Ummm... We have no idea who the lady in pink is. And that boy climbing all over Thomas? We don't know who he is either. (Note to self: Figure out how to delete rude people from important family pics.) Anyways, Luke and Olivia posing by Lego Thomas.

It is impossible to get a good picture of all three kids!

This is just one of the many photo sessions I have with my kids. I just can't seem to get them all to smile and look at the camera at the same time. This photo op was taken during Saturday morning "snuggle time". (Lately, "snuggle time" has turned into wrestling time!)

I guess we all can't be happy.
